Hoppe Shootbolt / Tongue Version Replacement Kit, 36-7/8 Handle Height
This is a Shootbolt / Tongue Version Replacement Kit for the Discontinued OLD STYLE Shootbolt / Tongue Multipoint Lock with a Backset of 45mm.
The Replacement Kit lock features 2 Shootbolts, 1 Tongue Latch and a Deadbolt.
The Shootbolts are located at both extreme ends of the lock.
The Tongue Latch is located 26-7/16" below the center of the Handle Cylinder.
Discontinued Lock Measurements:
Overall Length: 72-1/2 to 80-1/4 inches (lengths may vary)
Backset: 45mm (1-3/4")
Faceplate Width: 16mm (5/8")
Handle Height: 36-7/8"
Handle Spacing (PZ): 92mm (3-5/8")
Top Tongue Position: 29-1/2" above the center of Handle Cylinder
Bottom Tongue Position: 26-1/4" below the center of Handle Cylinder
Shootbolts: At extreme top and bottom of lock
Replacement Kit Measurements:
Overall Length: 76-1/2 to 80-7/16 inches
Backset: 45mm (1-3/4")
Faceplate Width: 16mm (5/8")
Handle Height: 36-7/8"
Handle Spacing (PZ): 92mm (3-5/8")
Bottom Tongue Position: 26-7/16" below the center of Handle Cylinder
Shootbolts: At extreme top and bottom of lock
This is the easiest replacement currently available and will require the least amount of work.
As you see above, the critical measurements of these two locks are almost identical.
This will make the installation process that much easier.
NOTE:
The Bottom Tongue Strike may need to be adjusted on the door jamb.
The Top Tongue Strike will not be used and can be removed from the door jamb.
