Note:
* When used with exterior keyed lock, the flat tail piece will meet with the keyed tail piece in the center of the mortise lock. If either flat tail piece is to long it puts a bind on the key and makes it hard to turn.
* With a 1-3/4 inch thick door the tail piece on the thumb latch should be 1/2 the door thickness, minus 1/16 inch. The tail piece would project 13/16 inch to slightly less than 7/8 inch
