How to Remove a Doorknob with No Visible Screws
Many door handles have visible screws on the trim plate — simply unscrew them, remove the latch from the door edge, and you're done. But if you can't see any screws, they're still there. You just need to remove the knob first.
- Look for a small release latch near the base of the knob or handle, usually on the exterior side of the door.
- Push that latch in and pull the handle off the door.
- Find the small slot on the edge of the trim piece, insert the tip of a flathead screwdriver, and pry off the trim piece.
The screws will now be exposed. Remove them, unscrew the latch from the door edge, and remove all the pieces.
