Tedee Pro Thumb turn adapter American Handle set
This faceplate Adapter is to convert the American version cylinder on Multipoint locks and enable the TEDEE PRO to become a Smart Lock that can be used with your phone or keypad when locking or unlocking a door.
Application: Convert American version Keyed lock Thumb turn to a Smart Lock
The customer will have to drill out his current face plate to accept our adapter around 3/8", need to measure existing hole first. Remove the lock nut and insert the adapter into their face plate the adapter will fit into their tail piece and you screw the lock nut back tight against their faceplate.
Installation method:
1. Take the faceplate off the door and remove its default thumb turn.
2. Measure Diameter of hole, needs to be 3/8"
If hole needs to be enlarged, a step drill bit is best choice
3. Remove the nut from the adapter's bolt and insert the adapter into the thumb turn slot.
4. Fix the adapter by placing the nut on the bolt from the backside of the faceplate.
5. Secure the adapter with the smart lock's Allen key by rotating the adapter's black screw clockwise.
6. Mount the faceplate back on the door, carefully placing the door lock's flat tailpiece into the adapter's mechanism.
7. Proceed to install the Tedee PRO smart lock.
Note: This adapter can also be used for the installation of Tedee GO when paired with a dedicated Bar adapter (sold separately). Tedee PRO installation does not require any additional accessories.
