Lockwood 8654 Hinged Security Door Lock

The Lockwood 8654 Hinge Security Door Lock has been designed in Australia and manufactured to stringent quality specifications.
Incorporating Lockwood’s advanced safety and security feature DualSelect®, the 8654 Hinge Security Door Lock is ideal for use in residential Storm Door and Security door applications.
Mortise - to lock and unlock the door, small tab above the hook on the face of the mortise lock box must be FULLY DEPRESSED for lock to work.
This might require shimming behind the strike plate so that it presses the tab in completely when the door is closed to allow for correct operation.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
The screws are tri-lobular (self tappers) and are designed to cut their own threads in the lug on the handle set plates as they are screwed together.The lug doesn’t have a thread cut into it from the factory, the screw cuts the thread as it is tightened. This can help with slight misalignment issues. (see image 4)
