- Glazing
- Method of securing a piece of glass or glass unit into a window
opening. Glazing method could be aluminum, vinyl or wood strips (normally for insulated glass), or a putty compound (single paned glass). - Grades (Lumber)
- The quality or density of lumber. Less dense wood or wood which has flaws (knots, color variations) is of a lower grade. Conversely, wood with little or no flaws with a higher density is of a higher grade. High grade wood is used to support heavier weights, and in some areas of framing is a requirement (according to local codes). All lumber is required to have a grade stamp.
