Tongue version Multipoint lock - 3 tongues + Deadbolt/spring latch
This lock is no longer being manufactured by FUHR, but there is an almost direct replacement available 4990226.
Overall Length: 92-1/8 inches
Backset: 1-3/8 inches (35mm)
Bottom Tongue Position: 29-1/2 inches (below handle)
Middle Tongue Position: 26-1/2 inches (above handle)
Top Tongue Position: 49-1/2 inches (above handle)
PZ: 2-3/4 inches (70mm)
Handle-Height: 34-1/2 inches
NOTE: When replacing this lock with our kit 4990226, you will need to carefully use a hacksaw to trim about 1-1/2 inches
off the bottom of the new lock to ensure that the handle reaches the correct height. Handle height needs to be the same as current Fuhr lock.
There is a line on the face of the Fuhr and Hoppe lock just below the spring latch. With a pencil, mark the placement of line on door edge.
