How to Replace a Sliding Patio Door Handle

1. Remove the two screws affixing the handle to the door. **NOTE: Do not remove the screw on the thumbturn, as the lock reach-out will fall into the door.**
2. Removing the backing plate.
3. Rotate the handle 90° clockwise, lift the handle up, then rotate it back and remove the handle from the door.
4. Install the new handle. The installation process is the opposite of the removal process.
5. Finish re-installing the handle by inserting the two screws through the handle and into the backing plate.
