How To Install Acme Series 57/58 Roller Assembly Sliding Door Hardware
Series 57/58 Sliding Door Roller Assembly Hardware is meant for 1-1/8 inch or thicker single sliding or bi-parting doors weighing up to 250 pounds each.
Note: The Acme series 57/58 sliding/ pocket door roller assembly has been discontinued, but part #25061 is an available replacement for purchase at All About Doors & Windows.
How to Install Sliding Door Roller Assemblies
STEP 1:
Trim your track so it is 1-1/2 inches shorter than the entire width of the opening of the door to allow for room to insert the four-wheel hangers.
STEP 2:
Screw roller assembly track to header. On a pocket door, make sure when you install your track that you leave the 1-1/2” clearance in the doorway, not in the pocket.
STEP 3:
Insert four-wheel hangers into track with key slot facing the interior of the room.
STEP 4:
Bore 2 holes, each 1/2 inch diameter by 1/4 inch deep in the top horizontal edge of the door. Make these holes 3 inches from either end of door.
STEP 5:
Attach the top plates to the door, centering them directly over the newly-made holes and using holes to secure the plates in place.
STEP 6:
Thread the pendant bolt into the top plate adjusting nut. Attach the door to the hanger by inserting the pendant bolt into the key slot in the hanger; rotate the pendant bolt 90 degrees to lock it into position. Turn the top plate nut with a wrench to adjust the door vertically for plumb and height.
